The name

Why “koine”?

koine /koi̯.nɛ̌ː/ Greek common, shared, public

Koine was the shared language that connected people across the ancient Mediterranean, whatever their home town or first language. We want digital and environmental skills to become that kind of common language: open to everyone, wherever they start from.

That is what our slogan means: a common language for change.
